About Chardon, Ohio
Chardon is the county seat of Geauga County, founded in 1812 and still centered around its historic Chardon Square, a stretch of grassy lawn ringed by red-brick Victorian buildings with the county courthouse's domed clock tower rising above it all.
Chardon has earned its nickname as the "Maple Syrup Capital of Ohio," and every year the town hosts the Geauga County Maple Festival on the square, the oldest maple festival in the country, drawing more than 20,000 visitors over four days for pancake breakfasts, parades, and maple-stirring at the historic Heritage House.
Sitting in Lake Erie's snow belt means Chardon sees serious winter weather most years, which makes a dependable, all-weather-ready vehicle less of a luxury and more of a necessity here.
It's also exactly the kind of small, tight-knit community where a local, trustworthy dealership matters, and that's what Preston Kia aims to be for our Chardon neighbors.
